Copywriting and Research

A large part of my current job is related to SEO, as a result I have had to become incredibly proficient in copywriting, research and delivery. In the early stages of my time freelancing, before forming Lumos Digital as a fulltime venture, the majority of work I received was for large copywriting projects. As a result, I have honed my skills in a variety of different styles, tones and voices for an even wider variety of industries and topics. I have written about healthcare services, self storage, driving lessons, log cabins and just about everything else in between.

From the experience above, I have been able to hone the process from the early research stages right through to delivery. I have become proficient in tools such as SEMrush which allow me to determine if a topic has enough interest to justify writing about (through keyword research). I have been able to develop and learn different writing styles for both formal and informal writing depending on the topics and audience. Finally, I have been able to quickly turn-around large scale copy projects regardless of the length or subject be developing a method for research, creation and delivery.
